   We don't believe in the traditional dealership pricing model. At other dealerships, they price their vehicles several thousand dollars above their costs and you the customer are expected to spend several hours of your time attempting to negotiate the price down to where it should have been in the first place. They like to wear the customer down, and after several hours of this, many customers give up and often pay more than they should for the vehicle they like.

How is our pricing policy different?

Regarding our Late Model Car Sales;
   We don't pull the price out of the air, or just mark it up several thousand dollars over whatever we may have paid for the vehicle! All of our prices are set the same way, here's how:

   We do a search of all other cars of the same make and model with similar miles that are available in a two hundred and fifty mile radius of our dealership. We look at what others are asking for similar car currently listed for sale, this includes dealer cars and private party cars, and we try to deliberately undercut their prices! This doesn't mean that every cars price is lower, but most are. We intentionally look for low mileage cars and you can't compare a car with sixty-thousand miles, to one with twenty thousand. We have found that our customer is willing to pay slightly more for the lower mileage vehicle. You may have found us by doing the same search on the internet that we use as well.

   To further add value we try and search for the truly unique cars. We prefer the model with the navigation system built in, or the premium sound system. These are little things that distinguish our cars from the pack, and add resale value to the cars as well. We look for the vehicles that have a higher trim package that is desirable. These are seldom previous rental cars, but that's okay with us. We don't buy or sell many of those anyway.

 How does Kelly Blue Book affect our pricing?

   Simply put: it doesn't. We will gladly give you the Blue Book value of the car you are considering, in fact, it is posted on the window of every late model car we sell. If you look, you will find that most of our prices are actually far less than Kelly thinks they should be. In many cases they are well below the wholesale price, or what they call the low Blue Book value, not the high, or retail Blue Book value. We have seen in recent years that many cars can be bought for significantly less than these published values, and most of our prices reflect this change. We want our customers to benefit from these fluctuations.

Regarding our Classic and Specialty Cars;
   These are the most difficult to price. We simply price them in accordance with others for sale in the market at the same time and go from there. Classic cars are not like traditional cars when pricing is concerned. The rarity of classic vehicles could mean that there may only be a few available for sale in the whole country at any given time. The rules of supply and demand come in to play here, Its very difficult as a buyer to expect much negotiating on the extremely rare automobile. But it comes down to what a seller will pay, and what a buyer will take, so usually there is some negotiating involved.

In Conclusion;
   I personally don't like our customers to spend hours negotiating a good price for a car, so I start by making our initial price at a more realistic point. I also include in the file for each car, a printout of the current Kelly Blue Book wholesale and retail value for you to view and compare. You will see that we start at a much lower point than most dealers. I you feel that our price is not in line with your expectations, feel free to make us an offer. If the car you are considering has been in our inventory for a while, I will consider your offer, and do my best to come to a easy compromise without us going back and forth several times. Frankly, I think your time is more valuable, and frankly, I think mine is also. I would much prefer spending Saturday afternoon watching my kids play baseball or soccer, anything other than twisting your arm for a sale.

   I think if you take the time to come by you will see cars that are far above average, and prices that are better than the competition too.
