1. We offer very competitive financing for your car. 2. We can take a trade-in toward your car. This will not affect what you get but if we take a trade in to sell your car than we keep the trade in vehicle and pay you the price you wanted regardless of what happens with the trade in car. 3. We have contracts with many advertisers including, Autotrader, Cars.com, Collector Car Trader Online, Hemmings Motor News, Dupont registry, and Ebay. We make sure your car gets the exposure it needs to get it sold! 4. We protect your privacy so that interested purchasers do not come to your home to see your car. 5. We can show your car at any time; days, evenings and on weekends. We make it convenient for the buyer to view your car at their convenience. 6. Having been in this business for 25 years now, I have developed a system of tactfully qualifying potential buyers to weed out those that may just be interested in a joy ride in a unique car. No one will drive one of the consigned cars unless we have determined they are a qualified buyer. 7. We have sold and shipped cars all over the world. We have experience getting paid in such a way as to eliminate the chance of fraud, and know how to get a car delivered to a buyer, in California, Canada, Europe, or anywhere else. 9. If your car needs minor repairs before it can be sold, we can either do the repairs in house, or have the repairs handled through one of our contracted vendors and we will oversee that the work gets done properly. What does it cost to have The Car Source sell our vehicle for us? There are no set rates. Every car is different and I treat a ten thousand dollar car differently than a one hundred thousand dollar car, but here are the basics. 1. We try to make a 10% margin on sales. However our first priority is to sell your car, and sometimes that means both the consignor, the buyer, and ourselves have to compromise to get the job done. I will never turn away a potential buyer just because he does not want to pay the margin. I will respectfully call the consignor with the offer I have and we will try to make the deal happen. 2. We ask for a 60 day commitment to leaving your car with us. This is because some of the magazine ads have to be purchased up to 30 days in advance. This requires a large investment on our part and we would like the car here for the time it takes for the ad to mature. 3. We ask for $150 at the time of drop off. This is to cover the mechanical inspection, and the cost of detailing your car and getting it ready for sale. We ask for a $150 per month consignment fee. This does not have to be paid up front, this can be taken out of the proceeds when the car is sold, or if you choose to remove the car from our facility, this fee will be collected prior to the car leaving. The consignment fee is simply to show the consignors commitment to selling his vehicle and to assure that our facility is not being used as a storage location. In defense of this fee, we routinely spend two to three hundred dollars per month, per car, on advertising. You would not be able to advertise it as extensively as we do for the cost of consignment. Our closing statement and my commitment to you! Having been in the retail car business for almost 30 years now, I feel that our experience in selling your car in an ethical manner is second to none. We are a member of the Sacramento Better Business Bureau and have never had a complaint. We have references available locally and all over the world and we would be happy to provide them for you if you like. We have a 100% positive satisfaction rating on Ebay, and we have never had a DMV complaint filed against our dealership. Your car will be kept safe and secure and will not be used for anything other that actions needed to sell it. You will be paid promptly and a full discloser of the transaction will be given to you at the time of sale. I personally promise that your car will be safely cared for while in our possession and we will do everything in our power to sell it for market value in a timely manner.
