Drivetrain and Chassis;
The original 327 was rebuilt with all of the modern upgrades that make it drivable by todays standards. This includes balancing, electronic ignition, and more. There are simply to many upgrades to list. We have details regarding this rebuilt. Also under the hood you will find a complete modern air conditioning and heater system with all new components. Other driveline modifications include a 700R4 overdrive transmission, correctly calibrated for the motor and rear end ratio's used in this car. The original 10 bolt rear end was redone using a Strange Engineering 3.73 Positraction unit. The speedometer was then professionally calibrated for the new ratios.
Regarding the chassis, every nut bolt, fastener, rubber bushing and wire was replaced. This was not one of those cheep, take it apart and paint it restorations, All metal chassis components were removed and powder coated and the hardware was replaced. This included the rear end housing, inner fenders, motor mounts, radiator support and more. The entire wiring harness was replaced with a Painless system that included power door locks and a Clifford alarm. Every bracket, bushing, washer, etc. was replaced with new. The fuel tank was replaced with new. The springs were replace with new Eiback coil springs and the rear springs were upgraded to SS type multi leaf and then re-arched to give it the right stance. The shocks are Bilstein all around with larger 1 1/8 diameter sway bars added. The chassis was also upgraded with modern front disc brakes and spindals. As well as a new AGR quick ratio power steering box and matching pump.
Exterior;
The exterior of the car was painted at the time the car was apart. There was no trim, glass, rubber, or any other component attached to the body at the time of painting. The separate body panels were painted individually and then the car was assembled after paint was complete. All the incidental trim, items like vent window, vinyl top trim window moldings, bumpers, door handles were either rechromed or replaced with new. All rubber components were replaced with the highest quality aftermarket rubber we could find.
Interior;
The interior of this car is a real stand out. It was originally a Deluxe interior car and it remains so but with new components everywhere. This includes new seat foam, door panels, seat covers, dash, headliner, and more. Again every component and receipt has been cataloged and documented. It has a Custom Autosound vintage style in dash digital cassette player with a trunk mounted 10 disc CD stacker perfectly integrated into the system. Inside the car interior insulation and sound deadening was installed in the roof, doors and floors. This car also has the rare fold down rear seat option.
